JOINING IN GOD’S MISSION TO A WORLD IN NEED
What is AMEN 2026?
The Assembly Mission ENcounter is a continuation of the Missionary Retreats that have been held since 2001. On average, these gatherings take place every three years, with the last one held in Germany in 2023. The retreats were previously reserved for missionaries who gathered to fellowship with like-minded brothers and sisters serving in different parts of the world. After twenty years, this format has been replaced by AMEN, a mission-focused gathering for anyone interested in missions.
What can we expect?
In 2026, we will essentially continue in the same vein and invite all those who, in the broadest sense, wish to participate in the Lord's work by serving, praying, giving, supporting or going.
The theme for AMEN 2026 will be: ‘Participating in God's mission in a world in need’.
Our main speaker will be Garry Blair, a full-time worker from Scotland who teaches at a Bible school and is a regular speaker at conferences in Europe. Garry and his wife Kim have been involved in church planting in France and the United Kingdom. This three-day mission conference will be an opportunity to worship God and meet others who are passionate about missions, to be inspired and challenged by God's Word, and to visit various ministries at the exhibition stands. The conference will be bilingual, in English and French. Other translations will be available if necessary.
A program will be available soon.
Who is invited?
You are all invited. This meeting is for young and old alike, for anyone interested in mission work and those already involved in missionary activities. Families are welcome and there will be a special programme for children. We especially invite the next generation of potential missionaries to this international meeting. Come and discover the Lord's will for your life, and yes, we are fully aware that mission has changed a lot over the last 30 years!
Why should I come?
When God's people gather together, the Spirit is at work. In such an environment, we can find inspiration and direction for our next step. We can also be a source of encouragement and show interest in the lives and ministries of those who faithfully serve the Lord. We are expecting around 120 people, mainly from Europe and other continents, for this intercultural experience.
